Executive Fellows Program

Executive Fellows is a 6-month program that utilizes our unique and proven experiential learning approach (delivered to and improved after 10 Founder Fellows cohorts!) and is geared towards leaders in large organizations looking to up-level their interpersonal skills to achieve greater impact.

Our unique approach combines research-based frameworks and experiential learning (through a format known as “T-Group”). Our co-founder, Carole Robin, has fine-tuned our programs after XXX years of leading Stanford GSB’s most popular elective for XXXX years, and after YY years at LIT – resulting in a condensed, “nutrient-dense” format ideal for executives in leadership roles.

This is a no brainer, just do it. Transformative. Incredibly insightful in helping me realize exactly what I do/say that influences others. I’m very hopeful that the strong camaraderie that emerged from this impressive group of CEOs will continue for the rest of my life.
— Iman Abuzeid (Incredible Health)

Qualifications

Leaders in Tech Fellows is a curated community of founders and executives —one that continues to grow, connect, and support each other for a lifetime. Participants are nominated by a network of industry leaders and selected after a competitive application process. Fellows are placed in small cohorts of 13 participants.

Executive Fellows is designed for senior leaders in later stage startups and post-IPO companies. Participants should be rising stars that excel at their technical areas of expertise, and are ready to evolve their leadership style by creating organization-wide followership that can only be achieved through greater self-awareness, fluent interpersonal skills and a nuanced understanding of group dynamics.

To get the most out of this program, participants have experienced a combination of:

  • Leading a team of people-managers (3-4 reporting layers).

  • Engaging in complex cross-functional partnerships, motivating and influencing without direct authority.

  • Shifting their focus from IC work to impacting the organization through high-performing teams and a strong followership.

We’re also looking for people committed to their growth and to creating culturally healthy organizations, and who will support other participants in their learning arcs.

“Carole Robin built not just a class, nor just a program, but a movement.”

4-day retreat – This is an experiential learning format focused on discovering when and how you are most influential, how others really think and feel about how you act, and how you lead. The weekend is based on the legendary Interpersonal Dynamics course at the Stanford GSB (nicknamed and known widely as Touchy Feely).

Monthly learning groups – Participants are placed into small groups of 13 that meet once a month over the course of 6 months. Groups meet some months via Zoom and quarterly in-person for a half-day session in the Bay Area. These monthly gatherings create a trusted environment for participants to dive deeper into the concepts of building interpersonal skills, forward their action in applying what they’ve learned, and solve their most pressing interpersonal challenges and self-limiting beliefs.

FacilitationThe Fellows program is steered by LIT’s co-founder and world-class teacher Carole Robin. Carole most recently served as the Faculty Director of the Interpersonal Dynamics for High Performance Executives Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). She received the MBA Distinguished Teaching Award for her work in numerous courses, including Interpersonal Dynamics – the most popular elective course at the GSB for over 45 years. She is the co-author of “Connect: Building Exceptional Relationships with Family, Friends and Colleagues,” based on the course, published by Penguin Random House and translated into 14 languages.

The program is overseen and taught by our expert, Stanford-trained LIT facilitators in close collaboration Carole.

Program Fee

Tuition for the Fellows program is $14,450 and includes the 4-day retreat (with accommodations, meals, program materials), and the monthly learning groups. In keeping with our commitment to diversity and learning, we offer some financial aid to exceptional participants who are unable to pay the full amount. We can also offer payment plans over four quarters. We do our best not to turn anyone away because of financial need.

Please note that the majority of our participants have their companies pay for their enrollment, as they would with an executive coach.

Executive Fellows will learn research-based interpersonal-dynamics frameworks and (more importantly) will get extensive practice for a visceral understanding of:

  • Self-awareness of their leadership style - identifying blind-spots and knowing their leadership ‘learning-edge’ much better

  • Interpersonal fluency - learning how to connect better with people to form robust and even exceptional relationships

  • Nuanced understanding of group dynamics - knowing what makes a group ‘safe’ and ‘trusting’ to enable high-performance through a culture of accountability and mutual support
